Tulum is about to make music history. On May 17, 2025, the Riviera Maya’s thriving cultural and tourism scene will reach new heights with the debut of the Mexican Caribbean Music Festival (MCMF). This groundbreaking event will be hosted at Zamna, one of the region’s most iconic venues nestled in the lush Tulum jungle.

Following the success of over 20 editions of the region’s beloved jazz festivals, the MCMF promises a fresh, bold take on musical experiences in the Caribbean. With a mission to elevate Tulum's profile as a world-class destination, this first edition will feature 17-time Grammy winner Sting as its headliner, marking a milestone for both local entertainment and international tourism.

Sting will bring his acclaimed STING 3.0 Tour to Mexico, performing alongside celebrated guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, known for his work with Mumford & Sons and Maggie Rogers. The trio is set to deliver a powerful live performance that blends Sting’s greatest hits with lesser-known gems from his iconic career.

"This isn’t just another music festival—it’s a celebration of culture, creativity, and the natural beauty of the Mexican Caribbean," said Andrés Martínez, CEO of the Mexican Caribbean Tourism Board. "MCMF is poised to boost hotel occupancy, attract global visitors, and place the Riviera Maya firmly on the map as a cultural and entertainment destination."

The festival will showcase a curated mix of world-class acts across genres, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Tulum’s natural landscape. Organizers aim to blend the spirit of international music with the richness of local traditions, offering both tourists and residents an unforgettable experience.

Beyond the music, the event is expected to generate a significant economic impact, driving tourism in the shoulder season and reinforcing Tulum’s growing reputation as more than just a beach town—it’s a cultural capital in the making.

As anticipation builds for this historic first edition, the Mexican Caribbean Music Festival invites music lovers from around the world to experience Tulum through rhythm, nature, and community. With Sting leading the charge, the stage is set for an unforgettable evening that will redefine the Riviera Maya’s musical landscape.
