Built across ground floor, two bedroom levels, and a full wellness rooftop, the house pairs Mayan-rooted materials with a vertical, light-filled plan.

The architecture

V Taller's design works in concrete, chukum, stone, and wood, with hand-laid stone walls grounding the lower floors and warmer plaster and timber rising through the upper levels. Two volumes are bridged by water, and floor-to-ceiling glazing keeps every room open to the surrounding jungle. The result reads as part ruin, part sanctuary, a house that feels carved into its setting rather than placed on it.

Bedrooms and suites

The villa is organised as seven bedrooms across the upper floors, including three separate master suites, an unusually generous configuration for a house of this footprint. Bedrooms open to private window-seats and tree-level views, and the principal suite extends to a sunken stone bath set into the canopy.

The wellness rooftop

The rooftop is the summit of the concept: a cold plunge and hot jacuzzi set against open jungle, a sauna and steam room, a wellness pavilion, and a terrace built for stillness above the trees. Below, the ground floor centres on a pool with a waterfall feature flowing toward the boundary wall, framed by an open kitchen-living core that folds out to the landscape.
